I'm Here

I am still here.

Kind of.

I haven't yet gracefully transitioned into Mommy of More Than One. After a couple months of recovering from surgery, I was craving to do something instead of in addition to changing diapers and timing feedings and naps.

I may have gone a little overboard.

  • I've been writing a personal finance blog. (LDS Money Blog)
  • I'm training my post-partum saggy buns for a 5K. (I'm waking up at 6am to do it. Yeah, I don't believe it either.)
  • I'm growing a garden.
  • I'm teaching Sunday school at church. (Old Testament. Yikerz!)
  • I'm reading conference talks to discuss with the husband at night.
  • I'm refinancing the house. (OK- this was completed a week ago. But still. That was lots of work!)
  • I'm coordinating a personal finance class in the community. (If you've been wanting to take Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University course, and you're local, contact me ASAP!)
  • I'm serving on the neighborhood Homeowners' Association (HOA) Board.
  • I'm learning to cook on less money. (Oh! Just last month, I had an impromptu challenge where I fed my family on $21 for 21 days.)
  • I'm part of a cleaning co-op in the 'hood. (If you are in the 'hood and interested in participating, call me!)
And...
  • I'm still a wife and a mom with all their accompanying responsibilities.

So, yes, I am here.

Kind of.

I'm happy you've found things that are rewarding to you.

"Idle hands are the devil's workshop." So I guess we know whose workshop you are in.

And people wonder what Stay at Home Moms do. Duh. Love your money blog. I just did a 5k and it is VERY rewarding, yet you don't have to lose your toenails. I wish I lived next to you still so that I could sneak over to your yard in the middle of the night and steal tomatoes. (Mine never saw the light of day for some reason - maybe I'm not cut out for growing veggies in 115 degrees). Sunday School was so scary for me and I taught Book of Mormon, not the Old Testament! Oy! I so wish I was close because I would be all over FPU with you.

Oh - I didn't get a new camera. I have Photoshop Elements and I've been downloading free actions to edit my photos. Nothing major, but thanks for noticing!

Wow, I'm impressed. And a little bit overwhelmed. Are you hiding tiny little worker elves in your basement?

Good luck with everything! :) Sounds like you are doing great.

Wow. Your workload makes mine look like gravy! I suppose that's why you rock so much harder than I do.

Um, I feel lazy just reading that. But I love the family pic at the end!
